Erwin Aksa Supports Munafri Arifuddin To Advance Again In The 2024 Makassar Pilkada

MAKASSAR- The General Chair of the Golkar Party's DPP Strategic Raising Division, Erwin Aksa, encouraged the chairman of the DPD II of the Makassar Golkar Party, Munafri Arifuddin or Appi, to re-run in the Makassar Mayor's Regional Head Election contestation on November 27, 2024.

Erwin Aksa emphasized that Api had already received a mandate to go forward and said that Golkar's dignity must be maintained with the advancement of Api as a candidate. As the chairman of the Golkar DPP, Erwin Aksa stated that Appi must advance in the contestation.

"There is no (candidate), Mr. Appi already has a mandate to advance and for the spirit of Golkar to advance, as chairman he (appi) must advance," said Erwin Aksa in Makassar, South Sulawesi, Saturday.

Erwin Aksa also highlighted that Appi had previously proven his influence in the eyes of the public by winning a seat as a Legislative Member Candidate (Caleg) in the South Sulawesi DPRD. Although Appi lost in the 2020 Pilwali narrowly, he has a fairly high level of understanding and popularity among the public.

"Yesterday he (Appi) advanced for the Legislative Election to get a seat first, after getting a seat, now he must get ready to run. Winning is a second loss of business," said the CEO of the Bosowa Group emphasized.

According to Erwin Aksa, the key in this Pilkada is to determine the sufficient vote target to win the contestation. Api, who has also passed the election as a elected candidate, has a strong vote base in the electoral district, so it is hoped that it can become the main capital in the Makassar Pilkada event.

With the number of Permanent Voter Lists (DPT) as many as 1,036,965 people, Erwin Aksa said that the key strategy in the Pilkada was to collect around 400 thousand votes to ensure victory. He also emphasized the importance of changes in campaign models that must be more modern and adaptive, including through the use of social media and direct approaches to society.

"Looking for 400 thousand votes, you can win. The current campaign has changed, there must be modern campaigns, social road media, door to door and the target must also be right on target. Don't margin error too much, sometimes the old pattern is used, so the good work is if the margin error is small," he emphasized.

Erwin Aksa emphasized that Appi has the potential to become the winner of the 2024 Makassar Pilkada with the right strategy and focus on increasing popularity and strengthening the electoral base. Api is expected to bring positive changes to Makassar City if elected as Mayor.
