JAKARTA - Constitutional Justice and Spokesperson for the Constitutional Court (MK) Enny Nurbaningsih said the Hakim Consultative Meeting (RPH) for the dispute over the 2024 General Election Results (PHPU) will be held formally starting April 16.

This date coincides with the deadline for submitting conclusions by the parties in the case.

"The formal RPH starts on weekdays April 16 after accepting the conclusion," said Enny, quoted by ANTARA, Monday, April 8.

For now, he said, constitutional judges are conducting a thorough investigation of the results of the trial that has been held from March 27 to April 5.

"Since Saturday (6/4), each judge has investigated all the results of the trial for the sake of drafting a legal opinion of the judge and there are judges meeting to prepare for the Legislative Election PHPU," he said.

Regarding the certainty of the date of pronunciation of the verdict, Enny said that all agendas for completing the PHPU for the presidential election are in accordance with the provisions of 14 working days since the case was recorded in the Electronic Constitutional Case Registration Book (e-BRPK).

In accordance with the timeline stated in Constitutional Court Regulation Number 1 of 2024 concerning Stages, Activities, and Schedules for Handling Disputes in General Election Results, the stages of pronunciation of decisions and submission of copies of decisions for the Presidential Election PHPU case will be held on April 22, 2024.

On a different occasion, Enny also explained that in the RPH, all constitutional judges would convey their respective views on the entire PHPU series, including if there were parties who submitted conclusions.

For information, the Constitutional Court opened the stages of submitting conclusions in the handling of the 2024 Presidential Election Result Dispute (PHPU) case after the end of the trial stages of the case.

"We, the panel of judges, agree that there are things that still want to be submitted, even though this is the last trial, can be accommodated through conclusions," said Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court Suhartoyo at the end of the follow-up trial of the 2024 presidential election PHPU case, Friday (5/4).

Suhartoyo said that the stages of submitting conclusions in the previous presidential election PHPU trial were not mandatory. However, in the PHPU case for the 2024 presidential election, there are many different dynamics from before so that the Constitutional Court accommodates the delivery of crucial matters and submission of files that are still lagging behind through these stages.
