As Of Early Sunday, 208,706 Vehicles Have Crossed The Cipali Toll Road

The Cirebon Police noted that as many as 208,706 vehicles had crossed the Cipali Toll Road section. This number is predicted to increase on D-3 Lebaran 2024.

The head of the Cirebon Police Traffic Unit, Kompol Ardi Wibowo, said that the surge in vehicle flows on the toll road continued to increase as many travelers moved from Jakarta to Central Java (Central Java) and East Java (East Java).

"Until early this morning, we collected data that around 208,706 vehicles had passed the Palimanan Cipali Toll Gate," he said in Cirebon, West Java (West Java), Sunday, April 7, which was confiscated by Antara.

He said, to deal with the surge in travelers, all personnel will continue to be on standby and under certain conditions will enforce the necessary arrangements.

One of them, he continued, anticipates the accumulation of vehicles on arterial routes as a result of the implementation of the one way system on toll roads.

Kasatlantas ensured that up to D-3 Lebaran, the traffic situation in the jurisdiction of the Cirebon Police was still under control even though some points were congested.

Since last Thursday, the volume of vehicles has increased. The movement of passing vehicles will still occur until Sunday (7/4) night," he said.

Ardi appealed to people who do homecoming to remain careful and need to prepare various things, which are needed during the trip.

According to him, travelers crossing the toll road must also obey traffic signs and follow further directions from officers.

"Hopefully travelers can obey it and always be careful to survive to their destination," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Astra Toll Operations Division, Cipali Sri Mulyo, said that based on traffic calculations, the total number of vehicles traveling on the toll road reached 124,000 vehicles on Saturday, April 6.

When compared to the projected figure, he said, there was an increase of one percent during that period.

As for the realization of the vehicle when compared to 2023 in the same period, the figure increased by 20 percent.

"Considering the daily traffic conditions, on D-4 Lebaran there was an increase of 112 percent," he said.
