Thousands Of Passengers Depart Homecoming From Tanjung Priok Terminal, Most On April 4

JAKARTA - Thousands of passengers were recorded to have departed from the Tanjung Priok Bus Terminal, North Jakarta from Wednesday, April 3 to Friday, April 5.

"The total number of departing passengers was 2,451 passengers as of Friday, April 5," said Dishub officer at Tanjung Priok Bus Terminal, Said M quoting Antara.

He said the bus most departed occurred on Thursday (4/4) as many as 83 buses with 848 passengers. Meanwhile, on Wednesday (3/4) there were 76 buses departing with 716 passengers.

Meanwhile, on Friday (5/4) there were 678 passengers departing with 53 buses from Tanjung Priok Terminal.

Then for passengers arriving on Wednesday (3/4) as many as 444 passengers with 89 buses and Thursday (4/4) as many as 520 and 98 buses.

"Today there are 62 buses that came carrying 285 passengers," he said.

He predicts that the peak of the homecoming flow will occur on Saturday (6/4) because of the right time to go home. "The H-1 or D-2 time is tight with Eid and we predict Saturday peak homecoming flow," he said.

According to him, the bus from Tanjung Priok Terminal has a number of routes with short routes, there are medium routes and long routes.

For short routes, he said there was a trip to Banten and a medium route to West Java and for long routes to East Java and even to Sumatra Island.

In addition, the Tanjung Priok Bus Terminal also conducts physical checks on the departing bus vehicles.

According to him, a number of buses that come will be checked before leaving and so far all roadworthy.

"We are also checking the health of the driver who will take the passengers and this aims for safety on the way," he said.
