The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Believes That The Inactive Supreme Court Secretary Hasbi Hasan Was Sentenced To The Maximum Sentence By The Corruption Court

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) believes that the Corruption Court Judge at the Central Jakarta District Court (PN) will impose a maximum sentence against the inactive Supreme Court Secretary (MA) Hasbi Hasan.

This was conveyed by the Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri regarding the trial of the decision on the bribery case in case management with Hasbi Hasan today, Wednesday, April 3. The judge is believed to be considering the demands submitted by the prosecutor.

"We are very optimistic that the panel of judges will decide that the defendant is guilty according to the law," Ali said in a written statement, Wednesday, April 3.

Ali said the prosecutor's team had considered all the aggravating things. The judge is believed to use aggravating or mitigating reasons, as well as the facts of the trial as the basis for imposing a verdict.

"Of course, from all the facts of the trial, the panel of judges will of course consider all the juridical descriptions of the public prosecutor's demands," he said.

As previously reported, Hasbi was charged with accepting a bribe of Rp. 3 billion which was delivered directly to his office by the former Commissioner of PT Wika Beton, Dadan Tri Yudianto. This gift was given to help Hendry Tanaka win a lawsuit in the bankruptcy case of the Savings and Loans Cooperative (KSP) at the cassation level.

The defendant is Budiman Gandi Suparman. To smooth it out, Hendry initially asked for help through Dadan, who was then agreed to.

After communication, there was a provision of money to take care of the case. The initial money was Rp11.2 billion and Rp3 billion was handed over to Hasbi.
