Coordination With The KPK, Kabareskrim Did Not Discuss The Hunt For Harun Masiku

JAKARTA - Kabareskrim Polri, Komjen Agus Andrianto, admitted that he had not yet discussed the search for fugitive from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), Harun Masiku.

Komjen Agus Andrianto visited the KPK in order to coordinate. Komjen Agus is the new Kabareskrim to replace General Listyo Sigit Prabowo.

"While not yet (about Harun Masiku)," said Agus to reporters, Thursday, March 4.

His arrival at the KPK, said Agus, was only limited to coordination and increasing synergy in handling corruption cases. The hope is that case handling can run well.

"We are only talking about the problem of how to maintain and improve the synergy activities that exist in law enforcement on corruption," said Agus.

"Mainly for coordination and supervision activities so that their implementation in the future can be better," he continued.

Harun Masiku, a suspect in Wahyu Setiawan's bribe when he was a KPU commissioner, has been a fugitive since the beginning of 2020.

This case originated from a hand arrest operation (OTT) that took place on January 8, 2020. In this silent operation, a number of people were arrested including the bribe recipient, Wahyu Setiawan and his confidant who is a member of the Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) Agustiani Tio Fridelina.

Meanwhile, Harun Masiku, as the bribe giver, is said to have gone abroad since before this OTT was held or on January 6, he went to Singapore.

Later, there was confusion that said Harun had returned to Indonesia on January 7 and was confirmed by the Directorate General of Immigration. The system error was the reason why he was not detected as having returned to his homeland.

Since then, Wahyu's bribe has disappeared as if he was swallowed up by the earth and has made the KPK in the spotlight because until now they have not been able to arrest him.
