Minister Of Transportation Tightens Supervision Related To The Hot Air Balloon Tradition In Central Java

JAKARTA - The launch of the hot air balloon ahead of Lebaran 1445 H became a tradition in two areas in Central Java. This is the attention of the Minister of Transportation (Menhub) Budi Karya Sumadi.

He hopes that the local government will oversee this tradition, so as not to interfere with flights around the area.

"Especially for Central Java, which is related to hot air balloons. Two places that are part of public tourism are Wonosobo and Pekalongan," said Minister of Transportation Budi Karya on the sidelines of his visit to the Central Java Police, Sunday, quoting Antara.

Minister of Transportation Budi Karya said that this must be anticipated so as not to interfere with security, including similar activities in other areas.

He also asked the public to understand the dangers of flying hot air balloons without permission, because it is feared that it will disrupt flight routes.

According to him, perpetrators of air balloon flights without permission can be punished.

Therefore, the Minister of Transportation appealed to the public, apart from the Pekalongan and Wonosobo areas, who did not have permission to fly hot air balloons to comply with these rules.

On that occasion, Minister of Transportation Budi Karya also appealed to people who would return to their hometowns to go home early.

According to him, this is intended so that people do not get stuck in traffic.

"Homecoming between D-10 and D-5, because the peak of the homecoming flow is expected to occur on D-4," said Minister of Transportation Budi Karya.
