South Bangka Police Anticipates The Practice Of Cheating Commerce At Gas Stations

The South Bangka Resort Police (Polres), Bangka Belitung Islands Province, checked a number of Public Fuel Filling Stations (SPBU) in Toboali City, as a measure to anticipate fraudulent practices in the trading system of fuel oil (BBM).

"We checked and checked several gas stations in Toboali to avoid fraudulent practices by officers by utilizing the high demand for public fuel ahead of Eid al-Fitr 1445 Hijri," said South Bangka Police Chief AKBP Trihanto Nugroho in Toboali, Sunday.

Several gas stations that were checked were gas stations number 24,331.99, gas stations number 24,331.71, gas stations number 24,331,130, gas stations number 24,331,134 and gas stations number 24,331,154.

"We have dispatched a Pidsus unit to check a number of gas stations in Toboali District, in order to anticipate fraud ahead of homecoming," he said.

Trihanto said the check was an anticipatory step because several cases of gas stations were found selling fuel mixed with water, causing harm to consumers.

"We do this to keep the security and social security situation conducive in the month of Ramadan and ahead of the Eid homecoming. Do not let fraud be found in the sale of fuel that can harm consumers," he said.

His party checked starting from the pump machine at the gas station to ensure it went well and the planting tank in accordance with the SOP set by Pertamina.

His party did not find any fraudulent practices in the process of selling fuel at several gas stations in the area.

"You urge gas station entrepreneurs not to cheat that can harm consumers, if found, action will be taken," he said.
