Many Accidents To Illegal Racing So The Reason JLNT Casablanca Was Closed On April 1-15 Early

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) announced that it will close the Casablanca Nontol Flyover (JLNT), South Jakarta every morning for two weeks from April 1 to 15, 2024.

Head of DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency, Syafrin Liputo, explained the reason. Syafrin said that so far there have been many accidents and illegal motorcycle racing that have occurred at JLNT Casablanca. In fact, the lane is only intended for four-wheeled vehicles.

"Regarding the plan to close JLNT Casablanca, there are many violations of 2-wheeled motorized vehicles that are prohibited from crossing JLNT Casablanca, especially at night and result in traffic accidents," Syafrin said when contacted, Thursday, March 28.

"In addition, at night the JLNT is often the location of illegal motorcycle racing that causes casualties," he added.

In its implementation, JLNT Casablanca will be closed from 00.00 to 04.00 WIB on both sides, namely the West (Citywalk) and the East (Kasablanka City Meal).

"As an alternative route, vehicles from the west (Tanah Abang) and from the east (Casablanca) can go through the lower lane of Jalan Prof. Dr. Satrio," said Syafrin.

In addition, the DKI Transportation Agency also implemented the closure of the U-Turn Citywalk on Jalan KH Mas Mansyur-Habib Usman Mufti, Central Jakarta on April 1-15, 2024.

During the trial closure of the U-Turn Citywalk on Jalan KH Mas Mansyur-Habib Usman Mufti, alternative traffic engineering was carried out by vehicles.

Vehicles from the east (Casablanca) to the east/north (Sudirman) can use the east-east round in front of the Cassadomaine Apartment with a distance of about 600 meters from the existing round.

Vehicles from the west (Tanah Abang) to the west (Cleaning) can use a west-west round in front of Intiland as far as 500 meters. Then, those who will head south (Senayan) can use the west-west round in front of Wihara Amurva Bhumi as far as 1 kilometer from the existing round.
