2 Women From Spanish Citizens Become Victims Of Robbery In Bali

BADUNG - Two foreign tourists became victims of attempted mugging. The victim suffered injuries to his body.

Head of Public Relations of Denpasar Police AKP I Ketut Sukadi said the robbery attempt occurred on Jalan Raya Uluwatu, Pecatu Village, South Kuta District, Badung Regency, Bali, on Monday (25/3).

"The perpetrator's mode was to grab the victim while riding a motorcycle and forcibly pulled the necklace used by one of the victims," said AKP Sukadi.

The two victims are a Spanish citizen named Berta Casas Segura (24) and Ana Maria Jove Sanches (24).

At that time at around 10:00 WITA, the two victims rode a motorbike to Uluwatu. In the middle of the road, the victim was grabbed by the perpetrator's motorbike and tried to take the necklace that Berta was wearing.

When there was an attractive tug, the victim and the perpetrator fell. At that time, another foreigner came who was trying to catch the perpetrator.

"However, the perpetrator managed to escape into the bushes and the motorbike driven by the perpetrator was left at the crime scene," he added.

"The items that were snatched by the perpetrators of a toy necklace or imitation, not gold with losses, cannot be ascertained," he said.
