JAKARTA - The Mayor of Surakarta, Selvi Ananda, and Deputy Mayor, Serlly Yusnita, received guidance from the President's mother, Iriana Joko Widodo, as the supervisor of the Indonesian National Craft Council (Dekranas).

This direction was conveyed during the 41st anniversary of Dekranas with the theme "Healthy Craftsmen, Great Craftsmen, Advanced Indonesia", Wednesday, March 3.

"Dekranas must play an active role in the implementation of coaching craftsmen throughout Indonesia by implementing health protocols to increase productivity at the national level," said Iriana as quoted from the website of the Government of Koto Solo, Wednesday, February 3.

Iriana invited national and regional Dekranas administrators to always support national crafts and make Indonesian handicrafts host in their own country and use technological advances such as online transactions to support the economy in a pandemic like this.

Dekranas is a non-profit organization where art lovers and connoisseurs come together to shelter and develop art products.
