Chairman Of PP Muhammadiyah Reminds Constitutional Court To Handle Disputes On Election Results Honestly And Trusted

YOGYAKARTA - General Chairperson of Muhammadiyah Central Executive Haedar Nashir invites the public to accept the results of the 2024 General Election wisely, wisely, and relievedly.

"With various critical notes, the public can accept the election results wisely, wisely, and relievedly," said Haedar as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, March 22.

He hopes that the public will be able to respond to the election results as a political reality and logical consequences of the democratic system chosen by the Indonesian nation.

However, according to Haedar, Muhammadiyah respects the parties who filed a lawsuit with the Constitutional Court (MK) as a constitutional, peaceful, and elegant solution with the awareness that the Constitutional Court's decision is "final and binding" to be obeyed by all parties.

Regarding the lawsuit, he asked the Constitutional Court to work more professionally and implicitly in adjudicating and deciding election disputes.

According to Haedar, the resolution of a fair and objective election dispute is a solution and provides political certainty.

"For the Constitutional Court, the resolution of election disputes honestly and trust is a momentum to improve performance, improve image, and restore public trust which has been declining so far," he said.

Haedar emphasized that the parties elected in the 2024 General Election are statesmen with seriousness and full responsibility to carry out and carry out the mandate of the people which is very heavy.

"Congratulations to members of the legislature of the DPR, DPRD I, DPRD I, DPD, and elected vice presidents while still waiting for the resolution of election disputes in the Constitutional Court," he said.
