Heavy Rain Triggers Floods In Bolivia, Swallows 52 Casualties

JAKARTA - At least 52 people died in Bolivia, a country in the South American region, due to flooding due to heavy rains in the last three months.

According to a local press report on Saturday (16/3), rain hit many cities, particularly La Paz, which resulted in heavy casualties and property damage.

Since the start of the rainy season in the country, 52 people have died and five have been missing.

Local authorities said heavy rains caused flooding in 133 cities, impacting 51,668 people.

Rain also destroyed 911 houses, while 1,251 houses were partially damaged, pushing for "red alert" in some areas.
