The ITE Law Study Team Asked Nikita Mirzani's Opinions To Dewi Tanjung

JAKARTA - The Research Team for the Law on Information and Electronic Transactions (UU ITE) has again asked for the opinion of a number of parties who intersect with the regulation.

"Among the reported parties, it was confirmed that they attended the court, including Muhammad Arsyad, Ravio Patra, Prita Mulyasari, Yahdi Basma, and Teddy Sukardi," said the Head of the ITE Law Study Team formed by the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Sugeng Purnomo in his written statement, Tuesday, March 2.

Meanwhile, from the reporting circles, this team will hear statements from a number of parties such as former Ombudsma member Alvin Lie, artist Nikita Mirzani, PDI-P politician Dewi Tanjung and PSI politician Muanas Al Aidid.

Sugeng said that the input and views of those who were summoned would later be considered. Including, the revision of a number of articles in this law.

According to Sugeng, his party has listened to input from the reported and reporters regarding the ITE Law on Monday, March 1 yesterday. Those who have submitted their input are Saiful Mahdi, Baiq Nuril, Diananta Putra, Dandhy Dwi Laksono, Bintang Emon, Singky Suadji, and Ade Armando.

These virtual speakers highlighted articles 27 and 28 in Law Number 11 of 2008.

"The essence of the discussion yesterday was that we specifically got a picture that the reporting group and the reported group had input related to the revision of several articles," Sugeng explained.

"The articles that are most highlighted are Article 27 and Article 28. According to them, among them, it is necessary to have clarity on the normalization and implementation," he added.

According to the plan, after listening to and getting input from reporters and reported parties, this team will enter the second cluster, namely groups of activists, civil society, and practitioners.
