KPU Completes Overseas Voice Recapitulation, Leaves Malaysian PSU

The General Elections Commission (KPU) has completed the recapitulation of vote acquisitions from abroad in line with the end of the recapitulation of votes from Taipei, Taiwan, tonight.

It is known that the open plenary meeting of Taipei's vote recapitulation has been tough since early Monday. Then, he was suspended at dawn and continued this afternoon.

"Alhamdulillah, we can complete the recapitulation with our friends of the Overseas Election Committee (PPLN) according to schedule," said Chairman of the Indonesian KPU Hasyim Asy'ari as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, March 4.

The national level recapitulation process for votes from abroad has been going on since Wednesday (28/2) and almost every day the meeting lasts until the early hours of the morning.

"To speed up the process, we made two panels, panel A and panel B. And today, Monday, March 4, 2024 is the last chance to recap for PPLN. And indeed, it is scheduled to recap for PPLN, the final schedule is today," he said.

Hasyim explained that the recapitulation sequence started from PPLN which was first present in Jakarta. In total, from 128 PPLN, around 127 PPLN have completed the national level recapitulation.

Then, leaving PPLN Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, who has not done this because the KPU and Bawaslu decided to hold a re-voting (PSU), due to serious problems with the integrity of the voter list.

The PSU in Kuala Lumpur will use two methods and last for two days.

The two methods are voting at polling stations (tps) and mobile ballot boxes (KSK).

The PSU for the KSK method was carried out on March 9, 2024 and the postal method was carried out the following day, March 10, 2024.

For the KSK method, the polling group (kpps) will carry out escorts from start to finish. The next day, the ballot will be calculated along with the results of the PSU from the Twas method.
