The house of the alleged perpetrator of abuse against minors in Gang Mushola, RT 02/04, Ujung Menteng Village, Cakung District, East Jakarta, was raided by dozens of residents.

Residents admitted that they were furious at the actions of the perpetrator with the initials IK who had not been detained by the police even though there had been many reports of cases of sexual violence against children.

The head of the local RT, Eliani, said that seven victims had reported to the East Jakarta Metro Police and were directed by the police to have a post-mortem. However, the results of the post-mortem take time.

"The victim's family wanted to hurry up, but the police have stages. The perpetrator is already at his house (who had not been detained)," Eliani told reporters, Monday, March 4.

Then the perpetrator IK was directed to stay in the house until he waited for the results of the post-mortem for the victim to leave. The perpetrator was banned from leaving the house, but the perpetrators often carried out activities outside the house.

"I have ordered (the perpetrators to stay at home) if needed so that the communication is easy. Do not have activities outside so as not to lure residents," he said.

However, because IK actors often do activities outside the home, residents also see it.

"Residents came because they saw the perpetrators leaving the house, how come it was really good to be very wrong (not arrested). (The perpetrator) was riding a shopping motorbike. From there, the victim was furious (citizens), asked for justice," he said.

Then the residents and the families of the victims went to the house of the alleged perpetrator to arrest and judge him.

"It broke, I spontaneously went there. There were residents, 20 people. I suppressed it so that there would be no physical violence. I called Binmas Pol and the quick response came, Binmas Pol immediately took the perpetrator to the Polsek so that it would not physicalize, or hit the masses to avoid unwanted things," he said.

However, because the service related to child crime was only at the Resort Police, the perpetrator IK was handed over to the East Jakarta Metro Police.

Head of PPA East Jakarta Metro Police Unit, AKP Sri Yatmini confirmed that the perpetrator had been detained in the East Jakarta Metro Police detention cell.

"(The perpetrator) has been processed," he told VOI.
