Household Assistant Becomes Karaoke LC After Stealing Rp73 Million From Employer In South Jakarta

JAKARTA Do you still remember Yunitas Sari? A household assistant (PRT) in Pancoran, South Jakarta who was arrested for breaking into her employer's money tens of millions through an ATM card. Pancoran Police Chief Kompol Sujarwo released today, Monday 4 March. It was explained that Yuni was arrested while she was working as a ladies companion (LC), namely a companion woman to accompany guests during karaoke, in Bekasi City.

"Arrested at one of the karaoke entertainment venues in Bekasi. When (working) he became an LC," Sujarwo told reporters at the Pancoran Police, Monday, February 4.

It is known, a few days after stealing her employer's money amounting to Rp73.9 million, Yuni worked at a karaoke in Bekasi.

The police, who conducted an investigation into the victim's report, namely Yuni's employer, immediately sniffed out the long-haired woman at an entertainment venue.

"Just worked a few days at that location," he said.

Yuni was arrested while serving her guests. Sujarwo said, the woman was arrested without any resistance. And until now Yuni has worn prison clothes.

After an examination, it was revealed that Yuni stole her employer's money to pay off her debt.

"The suspect's statement is indeed the motive for the economy, used to pay off debts. He took the ATM from inside the house and in the car," said Sujarwo.

ATM PIN Code

Taking a deeper look at how Yuni broke into her employer's ATM, Sujarwo explained that the 31-year-old woman took the victim's ATM and then tried to enter the pin (code) with the birth date of her employer, Muhammad Al Jufri, a lecturer.

"The perpetrator found out that the PIN atm on the victim's birthday was known that he was trying to find out that this was successful in committing theft through money at an ATM," added Sujarwo.

Yuni carried out the theft on Friday, December 8, 2023. And it was revealed that when her employer felt suspicious, Yuni went to the market without any orders. Moreover, the employer learned that there had been several withdrawals without her knowing. Finally, Yuni withdraws Rp7 million from her employer's ATM.

After successfully draining the contents of her employer's ATM, Yunita fled to Lampung to entrust the stolen money to her friend. He had moved to a place to live in Tangerang until he was finally arrested in Bekasi City.

"Then we did a search, it turned out that we had moved to a place until we arrived in the Bandar Lampung area and then ran to the Bekasi area. The time lag was not immediately arrested because this household assistant moved around," he said.
