JAKARTA - Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono responded to him being juxtaposed with former West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil to run in the 2024 DKI gubernatorial election.

Not a political party, but a netizen on social media who started the pairing of Ridwan Kamil in pairs with Heru as a candidate for Governor and Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta.

While showing a happy face, Heru admitted that he did not know about this. The head of the Presidential Secretariat claims that he is busy monitoring flood management in the capital city with his staff.

"I haven't had time to read about it. This is busy with the Head of SDA. So, I don't know yet," said Heru at Ancol Pump Station, North Jakarta, Thursday, February 29.

For information viral on social media X uploads posters with the faces of Ridwan Kamil and Heru Budi side by side. In the poster, it is written "Candidate for Governor and Deputy Governor of Jakarta 2024".

The poster also contains the hashtag #JakartaJuara which juxtaposes the Jakarta slogan with the "Jabar Champion" initiated by Ridwan Kamil during his tenure as Governor of West Java. It is still unknown who made the poster for the first time.

Heru Budi is several times being discussed by netizens who discuss the rise of posters depicting himself at Transjakarta stops, to complaints against Heru when Jakarta was flooded on voting day for the 2024 General Election.

Meanwhile, the issue of Ridwan Kamil wanting to run for the 2024 DKI Pilkada strengthens when the billboards circulated with a picture of him with the statement "OTW Jakarta hh".

Initially, many assumed that the billboards were a signal that Ridwan Kamil was interested in running as a candidate for the Governor of DKI Jakarta in the 2024 Pilkada. But in fact, the billboards were only promotions for skincare products.

The Golkar Party is also said to include Ridwan Kamil's name in the DKI Jakarta gubernatorial candidate exchange which will be promoted. Apart from Ridwan Kamil, Golkar also recommended the Chairman of the DKI Golkar DPD Ahmed Zaki Iskandar to run as a candidate for Governor of DKI.
