Mayor Of Surabaya Eri Cahyadi Monitored COVID-19 Vaccination On His First Day Of Work

SURABAYA - The Mayor of Surabaya, Eri Cahyadi, is monitoring the implementation of convalescent plasma donors and COVID-19 vaccinations on his first day of work.

Eri said that on his first day as Mayor of Surabaya, he immediately jumped right into it. The first activity carried out was to see the implementation of plasma donors at the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) Surabaya and vaccinations at hospitals and Public Health Center (Puskesmas).

"God willing, I jumped right into it because it was like that before. I hope that what the Surabaya City Government has done can be beneficial", he said as quoted by Antara, Saturday, February 27.

After that, Eri headed for the Surabaya City Government to coordinate with ranks within the local city government.

Meanwhile, on Monday, March 1, Eri will meet with Surabaya City Government officials to discuss what strategies will be carried out during the COVID-19 pandemic.

He explained the priority programs that will be carried out soon, one of which is in overcoming the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, the existing village of Tangguh Wani Jogo Suroboyo will be seen again by its movement per neighborhood.

"The entire community must be a part of Tangguh Wani Jogo Suroboyo Village, because later some cadres, God willing, will become part of this tough village", he said.

He will record all families in the city of Surabaya, all data will be used for aid purposes. In that data, it must be known how much each family earns in one family, who in the family needs a job.

"That is what we will look for so that the economy can run stable", he said.

According to Eri, one way to keep the economy moving must be done together with MSMEs in Surabaya. He gave an example that if you have to use batik, it means you have to buy batik at MSMEs.

"God willing, if the municipal government has meetings, the food and cakes will be bought directly from MSMEs. Later, if hospitals and health centers need bed linen, the assisted MSMEs will have to sew them", he said.

Hence, in the future, data will be recorded on how much each family has, who is unemployed, and so on so that the focus is on how to move the economy in each family.

"Together we, both the executive and legislative branches, as well as all stakeholders and society have only one goal, namely how to overcome this COVID-19 pandemic", he said.
