From The Ministry Of Health's Screening, The Highest Risk Hypertension Of KPPS Officers

Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin said the biggest risk for election organizers who died was due to hypertension and heart disease.

"The high risk is the most hypertension, so please regulate it and don't overdo it with salt, sugar, fat, it must be regulated, smoke if it can be reduced because it is hypertension. The highest is hypertension," said Budi, Monday, February 19.

Heart disease, continued Budi, is the second-largest risk. As many as 26 percent of BPJS findings were from BPJS who had heart disease while discrinating.

"It's been discriminated, we've found out which one is healthy or not, it's just been immediately registered. So we want to make improvements, that's why screening is being carried out," explained Budi.

Therefore, the government through the Minister of Health reviewed and perfected screening, so that election organizers who have risk of diseases such as hypertension and heart can not register.

"I am currently reviewing whether we want to perfect this screening. Later we will talk to the Minister of Home Affairs and the Chairman of the KPU, if possible, now we will sign the new rules. Because if possible, screen it before the list (official election organizers). Because I learned from Mr. KSP, "said Budi.

As previously reported, the General Elections Commission (KPU) received reports regarding the number of election officials who were sick and died which continued to increase

In the report as of February 14-15, 2024, as many as 35 election organizers died and 3,909 people fell ill.

KPU chairman Hasyim Asy'ari said, updating the report as of February 14-18, the number of election organizers who died increased to 71 people, while 4,567 people fell ill.

"On February 14 to February 18, 2024, in our records, 71 people died, with details of PPK members there was 1 person at the sub-district level, then PPS members at the village level there were 4 people, then KPPS members at the TPS level there were 42 people, then linmas who guarded the security of vote count activities who died 24 people," he explained.

As for the election organizers who were sick, Hasyim continued, there were 4,567 people. With details at the sub-district level or PPK 136 people, at the village PPS level there were 696 people, then KPPS members at the TTS level there were 3,371 people, and there were 364 people who were sick linmas.
