JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) summoned North Maluku Regional Secretary (Sekda) Samsudin Abdul Kadir and North Maluku Inspectorate Nirwan MT Ali on Monday, February 19. They were summoned for alleged bribery in the procurement and licensing of the project that ensnared the inactive North Maluku Governor Abdul Gani Kasuba. "The investigative team has scheduled summons and examination of witnesses," he said. It has not been detailed about the examination of the seven witnesses. However, they are suspected of knowing about Abdul Gani Kasuba's actions who was caught in a hand arrest operation (OTT) some time ago. Previously reported, Abdul Gani Kasuba became a suspect along with five other people. They are the Head of the North Maluku Housing and Settlement Office Adnan Hasanudin, the Head of the North Maluku PUPR Office Daud Ismail, and the Head of the North Maluku BPPBJ Ridwan Arsan. Then he was named a suspect, namely Ramadhan Ibrahim who is Abdul Gani's aide and two private parties Stevi Thomas and Kristian Wuisan. In this case, KPK Deputy Chairman Alexander Marwata said Abdul Gani was suspected of having participated in arranging the winner of infrastructure projects in North Maluku whose money came from the APBD.
