The police are investigating the case of mistreatment of the Head of the Voting Organizing Group (KPPS) at TPS 7 Tanjung Village, Tabalong Regency, South Kalimantan (Kalsel) with the initials KS (53) with the alleged perpetrator MS (22), a resident of Tanjung Village. Tabalong Police Chief AKBP Anib Bastian said the victim KS suffered lacerations to the right hand. "As a result of the perpetrator's actions, the victim suffered injuries to his right hand and had to receive three deep stitches and eight external stitches," said Anib in Tabalong, South Kalimantan, Thursday, February 15. Anib explained that the case of abuse at TPS 7 Tanjung Village began when the perpetrator MS asked about the promise of giving Rp100 thousand during the vote. The victim, who is the Chair of the KPPS, felt humiliated and responded to the perpetrators in a high tone. Feeling offended, the MS perpetrator returned home to take a sharp weapon and returned to TPS 7 to visit the victim. Seeing the perpetrator carrying a sharp weapon and approaching, the victim ran but fell while being chased by the perpetrator. When the victim fell, the perpetrator injured the victim using a sharp weapon which caused the victim to suffer lacerations to the right hand. TNI-Polri members guarding the TPS secured the perpetrators, then took the victim to Badaruddin Kasim Tanjung Hospital for further treatment. "We have secured the perpetrator MS at the Tabalong Police Station to undergo the legal process together with evidence of one sharp weapon," he said.
