Submerged By Floods, The Vocational Process At 16 Pondok Aren TPS Is Forced To Be Postponed

TANGERANG - A total of 16 polling stations (TPS) in Pondok Aren sub-district, South Tangerang, have postponed the voting process. The reason is because of the flood that submerged the area.

"I received a report in the Pondok Aren area that approximately 16 polling stations had to be postponed," said South Tangerang Mayor Benyamin Davnie to reporters at Pondok Maharta, Pondok Aren, South Tangerang, Wednesday, February 14.

He admitted that he could not determine when the election process would be postponed.

"The decision was postponed or moved to the KPU," he said.

Meanwhile, Chairman of the Indonesian General Elections Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu), Rahmat Bagja, said he would submit a recommendation for further voting to the Indonesian General Election Commission (KPU).

"We recommend re-voting. The results of recommendations from the District Election Supervisory Committee (Panwascam)," Rahmat told reporters in Ciputat, South Tangerang, Wednesday, February 14.

He explained that this recommendation contained re-voting on different days. So that later there will be a postponement of the calculation at the affected TPS-TPS.

"On different days. It is possible that the next day. We are waiting for the recommendations of the Panwaslu. (About) the calculation will definitely change too, right," he concluded.
