Ring 1 Monas Area In The Direction Of The State Palace Submerged By Floods As High As 20 Cm This Morning

JAKARTA - Heavy rains that flushed the Central Jakarta area from early Wednesday morning, February 14 until 06.00 WIB caused 4 roads in Central Jakarta to be flooded.

Even floodwaters also hit ring 1 area access to the State Palace, namely Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan, in front of the horse statue of Monas, Gambir Village, Gambir District, Central Jakarta.

"The water level is 15 to 20 cm on Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan," said Head of BPBD DKI Jakarta, Isnawa Adji when confirmed by VOI, Wednesday, February 14, morning.

In addition, the Jalan Bungur Besar Raya (in front of the Central Jakarta District Court) of Gunung Sahari Selatan Village, Kemayoran District, Central Jakarta was also flooded as high as 15 cm.

"Jalan MH Thamrin (in front of Sarinah) Gondangdia Village, Menteng District, Central Jakarta, was flooded as high as 15 to 20 cm," he said.

In addition, the flood also inundated the area of Jalan Mangga Dua Raya (ahead of WTC Mangga Dua), Mangga Dua Selatan Village, Sawah Besar District, Koja, Central Jakarta.

"The flood inundation is 30 to 40 cm high," he said.

BPBD DKI appealed to the public to remain careful and alert to potential inundation.
