Senator Bernie Sanders: US Involved In Humanitarian Disasters In Gaza

Senator Bernie Sanders said the United States Government was involved in the humanitarian disaster in Gaza, and the White House plan to send $14 billion to Israel, which threatened to carry out a ground invasion in Rafah, the southern Gaza Strip, unacceptable.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has ordered his troops to develop a dual plan to evacuate civilians from Rafah and defeat the remaining Hamas battalion in the Gaza-Egypt border region.

The question that must be asked by the US Congress is how many more children and innocent people will be 'destroyed' Netanyahu in this process, said Sanders.

He also accused Netanyahu of having no plans other than causing total destruction in Gaza.

"The US Congress is ready to disburse 14 billion dollars for military aid to Netanyahu's far-right government. And 10 billion dollars from these funds are completely unrestricted and will allow Netanyahu to buy more bombs. He has really used it to flatten Gaza and kill thousands of children," Sanders said.

He then asked if Congress would give Netanyahu more military aid so he could destroy thousands of men, women, and children.

Sanders insists that he will oppose the bill and urged his colleagues to do the same.

Although the International Court has ordered Israel to prevent its genocide in Gaza, Tel Aviv continues to launch its attacks on the densely populated enclave. According to Palestinian health authorities, Israel's barbaric military action has killed at least 27,947 Palestinians and injured 67,459 others.

The Israeli attack also forced 85 percent of Gaza's population of refugees amid food shortages, clean water, and medicines.

The United Nations noted that 60 percent of infrastructure in the enclave was damaged or destroyed by the onslaught of Israeli war engines.

Israel has hit the Gaza Strip since the cross-border attack by PalestinianHamas fighters on October 7, 2023. The attack, according to Tel Aviv, killed 1,200 people.
