Puan Regarding Ahok Becomes Minister Of Finance Or Attorney General If Ganjar-Mahfud Wins: That's A Prerogative Right

Chairman of the PDI-P (PDIP) DPP Puan Maharani does not want to talk much about Basuki Tjahja Purnama or Ahok's opportunity to become a minister if Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD is elected president and vice president. All were handed over because of prerogative.

"That's the prerogative of the president, God willing, if Ganjar is elected, I think Pak Ganjar knows what to do," Puan told reporters in the Simpang Lima area of Semarang, Central Java, Saturday, February 10.

Even so, Puan assessed that that was not what Ahok meant. Moreover, his party does not want to talk about the position.

"We haven't talked about the position yet, we will succeed in the upcoming February 14 election, let the people choose, win the people and people who become champions," he said.

Previously reported, PDIP politician Basuki Tjahaja Purnama alias Ahok admitted that he was more interested in becoming a Attorney General or Minister of Finance (Menkeu) if he got an offer to become an official.

This was conveyed by Ahok when he received a question from rapper Young Lex in an event entitled Ahok is Back, in Jakarta, Thursday, February 8. Young Lex asked if Ahok was appointed as Chairman of the KPK, what would be done for the first time.

"So if you ask what I want? So only two, the Attorney General or the Minister of Finance," said Ahok.

Ahok admitted that he was reluctant to become the Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) because his authority was limited. Therefore, he chose to become the Attorney General.

"If I'm the Attorney General, I can do what I'm trying to do? I made a list. So there is evidence of an illegal investment, anyway. So if you want to be an official, how much is your property, how much do you pay taxes, it's appropriate or not," he said.
