Unlucky Foreigner From The US, Wants To Enjoy The Sunset But Falls From The Cliff Of Bingin Beach In Bali

DENPASAR - A female foreign national who died falling from a cliff at Bingin Beach, Bali has finally been identified.

The victim came from California, USA, aged 49. While in Bali, the victim lived in a villa in the South Kuta area.

"He's from America, California. Yesterday we processed the TKP (the crime scene) was still in the process (investigation). But there are strong indications that he fell off a cliff," said South Kuta Police Chief Commissioner Yusak Agustinus Sooai, when contacted, Thursday, February 25.

US Caucasians came to the cliffs at Bingin Beach on Tuesday, February 23 afternoon. It is suspected that the victim slipped.

"The information is that he wants to see the sunset, maybe he stepped on the wrong way and kept falling. Because there was also a small broken tree there, near the cliff," he added.

The victim's body was found on Wednesday, February 24 morning. Police are currently investigating whether other people were with the victim when they came to the cliff at Bingin Beach.

The victim's body is currently still in Sanglah Hospital, Denpasar. Police have contacted the victim's family in the US.

"Yesterday, we had the opportunity to contact his family if I'm not mistaken his sister is in California," said Commissioner Yusak.
