A total of six ships escorted the delivery of logistics for the 2024 General Election from Marina Ancol Pier, North Jakarta to Pramuka Island, Thousand Islands Regency.

Kapolres Kepulauan Seribu, AKBP Jarot mengatakan enam kapal gabungan itu akan mengawal pengiriman yang dilakukan Jumat pagi.

"This election logistics is transported by a (traditional) wooden boat with the hull name Miles which is traveling at a speed of 10 knots," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, February 9.

According to him, the ship was indeed quite slow but would arrive at Pramuka Island after passing three to four hours of travel.

"There are 60 TNI Polri personnel, Dishub, Satpol Pp, Bawaslu and others who are escorted," he said.

Delivery to Pulau Seribu is prone to weather constraints because this month there are frequent storms.

"Alhamdulillah, today's weather is good and calm so we can send this logistics today," he said.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Thousand Islands KPU, Iman Cahyadi, said the election logistics sent were in the form of ballots for 22,515 voters as many as 320 ballot boxes and 320 ballot booths.

Today, the logistics shift was made from the warehouse in Sunter to the warehouse on Pramuka Island.

"All logistics have been packaged and later on Pramuka Island they will be repackaged as needed on the island," he said.
