JAKARTA - Edhy Prabowo's former special staff named Safri Muis explained the process of giving bribes to the former Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries.

"At that time I met Pak Agus and Suharjito, at that time Pak Suharjito deposited the money but I did not know the amount. He said 'just leave it'," said Safri at the Jakarta Corruption Court (Tipikor), reported by Antara, Wednesday, February 24. .

Safri conveyed this through a "video conference" line when he was a witness for the accused, the Director of PT. Dua Putera Perkasa Pratama (PT. DPPP) Suharjito who was charged with giving bribes worth a total of IDR 2.146 billion consisting of 103 thousand US dollars (around IDR 1.44 billion) and IDR 706,055,440 to former Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Edhy Prabowo.

"I don't know the amount, so I will hand it over to Amiril (Edhy Prabowo's personal secretary)," said Safri.

The witness revealed that he met Amiril in front of his office and Amiril immediately asked whether there was any deposit.

"I said 'Oh there', I immediately gave him a love," answered Safri.

Safri admitted that he believed in giving money to Amiril because he was Edhy Prabowo's secretary. "I think Amiril already knows, so I just gave it to him, because he (Suharjito) is a friend of the Minister, I took it directly to Amiril," said Safri.

"If Amiril was not a ministerial secretary, would you hand over the money?" asked the prosecutor.

"No," answered Safri.

"So you handed over the money because Amiril sespri saw the position of minister?" asked the prosecutor.

"Yes, and also because he asked for a deposit, so I gave him," said Safri.

Safri admitted that he gave all the money from Suharjito to Amiril.

Suharjito and Agus still gave Safri 26,000 Singapore dollars.

"There was a second meeting at the office, Suharjito immediately gave 26 thousand Singaporean cash. I thought the money was given because the lobster business was already smooth so I just gave it to me," said Safri.

Safri admits that the money was not given to Amiril and that he kept it to himself.

In the indictment, it was stated that on June 16, 2020 at the Office of the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries, Mina Bahari IV Building, 16th Floor, Suharjito and Agus Kurniyawanto met again with Safri with the intention of obtaining a BBL cultivation permit from PT. The issuance of DPPP is accelerated.

During the meeting, Suharjito handed over money to Safri in the amount of 77 thousand US dollars while saying "This is a deposit for the Minister". Then Safri handed over the money to Amiril Mukminin to be submitted to Edhy Prabowo.

Furthermore, on October 8, 2020, in Safir's office at the Office of the Ministry of KP-RI, Mina Bahari IV Building, 16th Floor, to meet the lack of commitment money related to the cultivation and export permit of BBL PT DPPP, Suharjito and Agus Kurniyawanto gave a total of US $ 26,000 to Safri.
