JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) will recall the Head of the National Food Agency (Bapanas) Arief Prasetyo Adi today, Friday, February 2. He will be investigated regarding the alleged corruption that ensnared former Minister of Agriculture Syahrul Yasin Limpo.

Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri said this was Arief's second call. He was actually going to be questioned on Friday, January 26 but was not present.

"Has scheduled a recall for witness Arief Prasetyo Adi, Head of the National Food Agency," Ali told reporters quoted on Friday, February 2.

Ali has not detailed the matter of the examination. However, Arief is suspected of knowing about the corruption case being handled by the anti-corruption commission at this time so he was summoned as a witness.

Previously reported, the KPK suspected that Syahrul had blackmailed his employees by requiring to pay monthly deposits with the help of the Secretary General of the Ministry of Agriculture Kasdi Subagyono and the Director of Agricultural Equipment of the Ministry of Agriculture Muhammad Hatta.
