TNI Controls West Papua National Liberation Army Headquarters After A Week Of Search In Maybrat

JAKARTA - The TNI managed to control the headquarters of the Papuan Armed Criminal Group (KKB) led bytenuh Fatem in Sagu Hamlet, Aifat Timur Jauh, Maybrat Regency, Southwest Papua.

The control of the KKB headquarters took place after a week of the TNI's search starting January 21, 2024.

"The group managed to escape our troop ambush, but we have managed to control their headquarters and have been destroyed," he said.

During the operation, said Andhika, Yudha Sakti's troops secured and confiscated evidence in the form of one strand of the Morning Star flag, six rounds of 5.56 mm caliber ammunition, one telescope, one solarcell, several flashlights, two KIS cards, three HP chargers, one camera lens, one cellphone, bow and arrow, food ingredients and several types of medicines.

In addition, he continued, the Mobile Sakti Team also secured two active community members as sympathizers of the KKB group.

"It is proven that we have secured the two community members in the forest of Aisa village, Aifat Timur Jauh District. They admit that they have been tasked with delivering logistics to the KKB group," he said.

He said that TNI troops were still in the forest until now to carry out exfiltration or the process of transferring personnel.
