Bribe Ex Regent Of Cirebon, Managing Director Of PT Kings Property Immediately Tried

JAKARTA - President Director of PT Kings Property Indonesia Sutikno will be tried at the Corruption Court. This is because the investigation file for the case, namely the alleged bribery to Sunjaya Purwadisastra as the Regent of Cirebon for the 2019-2024 period regarding the industrial area permit in Cirebon Regency, has been completed.

Acting KPK spokesperson for prosecution Ali Fikri said the investigation file with the suspect Sutikno was declared complete or P21. For this reason, investigators submit the case files, evidence, and the suspect Sutikno to the prosecution stage or stage II.

"Tuesday, February 23, KPK investigators carried out phase II or handover of suspects and evidence to the Prosecution Team with the suspect STN (Sutikno) in the case of alleged bribery TPK to SP (Sunjaya Purwadisastra) Cirebon Regent 2019-2024. The prosecutor's team was complete, "said Ali in his written statement quoted on Wednesday, February 24.

With this transfer to stage II, Sutikno's detention was continued by the prosecutor team for 20 days from 23 February 2021 to 14 March 2021 at the KPK Prison Kavling C1.

Meanwhile, the prosecutors have a maximum of 14 working days to prepare an indictment against Sutikno. Later the indictment will be submitted to the Tipikor Court for trial.

"During the investigation process 30 witnesses were examined, including Sunjaya Purwadisastra and civil servants in Cirebon Regency Government," said Ali.

This case started in 2017, when PT Kings Property Indonesia intended to invest in Cirebon Regency by building a shoe factory industrial area in Cirebon Regency. As the President Director of PT KPI, Sutikno assigned Sukirno to take care of permits for related agencies.

Apart from that, he also asked Sukirno to communicate with the local government regarding the plan to build industrial estates or factories and asked him to hold an audience with the community along with village officials regarding the land acquisition plan.

In order for the permit process to run smoothly, STN allegedly ordered Sukirno to give Rp. 4 billion in cash to Cirebon Regent Sunjaya Purwadisastra through his trusted aide.

The money was allegedly given so that SUN was willing to intervene and speed up the entire licensing process of PT KPI in Cirebon Regency.

Furthermore, Sutikno was named by the KPK as a suspect along with GM Hyundai Engineering and Construction Herry Jung (HEJ). The KPK just detained STN today but similar detentions have not been carried out against HEJ.

As a suspect giving gratification, Sutikno was then suspected of violating Article 5 paragraph (1) letter a or Article 5 paragraph (1) letter b or Article 13 of Law Number 31 Year 1999 concerning Eradication of Corruption Crimes as amended by Law Number 20. 2001 concerning Amendments to Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Corruption Crimes.
