SAR Team Searches For Missing Residents On Bengkulu Red Lantern Beach

BENGKULU - The Bengkulu SAR team conducted a search for one person who was missing while looking for fish in the Lentera Merah Beach area, Kampung Melayu District.

The resident with the initials WA (50) disappeared while looking for fish on Friday (27/1) night with his friend HA (47) at 20:00 WIB, then while fishing, WA was carried away by the waves until it disappeared.

"After receiving this information, the Rescue team and the Bengkulu SAR Office crew team immediately moved to the scene," said Head of the Bengkulu SAR Office, Muslikun Sodik, quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, January 27.

He mentioned that during the search for the residents of Seluma Regency, Basarnas Bengkulu dispatched two teams consisting of 15 people.

The Joint SAR team consisting of members of the police, the TNI, the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) and the surrounding community conducted a search around the location until 23.20 WIB, but the victim had not been found.

Therefore, Basarnas and other members conducted another search by dividing into three teams consisting of the first and second teams to search for eight km to the Southwest using a rubber boat or LCR (Long Ctaft Boat) belonging to Basarnas.

Then the third team dived around the location of Lentera Merah Beach, and to support the search process, Basarnas Bengkulu used a number of supporting equipment such as one unit of RIB.

Two LCR units or rubber boats, two sets of diving equipment, one set of water palsars, USD, navigation equipment, communication equipment and other supporting equipment.
