SURABAYA - A total of 914,200 doses of sinivac vaccine in the first two stages began to be distributed to 38 districts / cities in East Java. The number of targets for this second phase vaccine reaches 460 thousand people.

"Each region may only get 10 percent of public service providers," said East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa, in Surabaya, Tuesday, February 23.

For this second stage vaccine, said Khofifah, prioritized for public service officers. However, which priority will be vaccinated is still awaiting direction from the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes).

"For example, for teaching staff or officers in the tourism sector, each of them also has priorities. So which priority first, all follow directions from the Ministry of Health," he said.

Khofifah said, those who have not had the opportunity to get a vaccine in this second phase do not need to worry. Especially for public service officers, because there will be a distribution of the next phase and will be completed in May.

"We hope that as soon as possible this vaccine arrives, as soon as possible vaccinations can be made to public service officials," he said.

Khofifah ensured that 914,200 doses of the first two-term phase of the synovac vaccine will be received by the local government in 38 regions. However, Khofifah did not specify how many vaccines each region received.

He said the phase two vaccine was sent to several areas such as Surabaya, Bangkalan, Sampang, Pamekasan, Sumenep, Mojokerto Regency / City, Kediri Regency / City, Kab. Trenggalek and several other areas.

Furthermore, the distribution will continue today, for several other districts / cities including Kab. Pacitan and Kab. Banyuwangi.

"We hope that the vaccination process can be carried out as soon as the vaccines arrive in the regions," he said.
