Join PPKM Mikro, DKI Extend PSBB Until March 8

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan has extended the period of large-scale social restrictions (PSBB) to March 8, 2021. This policy follows the central government's decision to extend the period of micro-scale PPKM.

"The decision to extend the PSBB period is stipulated in the Governor's Decree Number 172 of 2021," said Head of DKI Health Service Widyastuti in his statement, Monday, February 22.

Widyastuti said, the data collected showed a decrease in the number of active cases of COVID-19. As of February 7, there were 23,869 active cases in DKI. Meanwhile, active cases in the following two weeks, namely February 21, were 13,309.

According to Widyastuti, the decreasing rate of active cases was also contributed by the increase in the recovery of positive COVID-19 patients.

"As of February 7, 2021, there were 265,359 with a cure rate of 90.3 percent, increasing as of February 21, 2021 by 310,412 with a percentage of 94.5 percent," he explained.

Then, the level of bed filling, both in isolation and in the ICU, has also continued to decline in recent times.

As of February 5, 2021, as many as 8259 of our beds were filled with 5921 beds or 72 percent. This figure decreases as of February 21, 2021, where the bed capacity is increased to 8321 beds and is filled with 5461 beds or 66 percent of the existing capacity.

"Meanwhile, the ICU capacity has also decreased, namely as of February 5, 2021, our ICU capacity was 1133 and filled with 842 or 74 percent and on February 21, 2021 the ICU capacity was 1156, filled with 817 or 71 percent," he said.
