Yenny Wahid: Gus Dur Is A Defender Of Mustadhafin, The Figure Is In Mas Ganjar

JAKARTA - The Advisory Board for the National Winning Team (TPN) Ganjar-Mahfud, Zannuba Ariffah Chafsoh or Yenny Wahid, assessed that the spirit of his father, 4th President of the Republic of Indonesia Abdurrahman Wahid or Gus Dur, was in the vision and mission carried by the candidate pair. Yenny said that it was this similarity that built his closeness specifically with the presidential candidate number 3 Ganjar Pranowo. "Gus Dur is a defender of the mustadhafin, marginalized people. We see himself in the figure of Mas Ganjar," said Yenny Wahid after accompanying Ganjar on a pilgrimage to Gus Dur's grave at the Tebuireng Islamic Boarding School, Jombang Regency, East Java, Antara, Friday, January 12. According to Yenny, Gus Dur's enthusiasm for Ganjar was seen through a series of actions that had really protected the people, especially those who were included in the welfare group. He said Ganjar often wakes up houses to schools to provide decent access to life for marginalized people. "Well, this is one of Gus Dur's passions, the enthusiasm to protect the mustadhafin, those who are marginalized," said Yenny. On the same occasion, Yenny also said that Ganjar was the only presidential candidate who was friendly to the wife of the late Gus Dur, Sinta Nuriyah. The General Election Commission (KPU) of the Republic of Indonesia has determined three participants in the 2024 presidential election, namely the Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar pair number 1, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka number 2, and Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD number 3.

The campaign period runs from November 28, 2023 to February 10, 2024, then the voting schedule will be on February 14, 2024.
