Fugitive Rape Case Of 15-year-old Girl Sandra In South Kalimantan, Threatens Parents And Shoots Police Negotiators

JAKARTA - SA (45) took hostage action against a 15-year-old girl in Hulu Sungai Utara Regency (HSU), South Kalimantan, last Sunday, February 21.

To make the action smooth, the perpetrators carried home-made firearms and sharp weapons. The girl's parents were helpless at gunpoint by RA.

Head of Public Relations of the South Kalimantan Regional Police, Mochamad Rifa'i, said that RA was a fugitive in a case of underage sexual intercourse who was included in the HSU Police wanted list (DPO) a year ago.

He came to the victim's house carrying two homemade firearms, along with 22-millimeter caliber ammunition and two sharp weapons to threaten the parents and victims.

The HSU Police Buser Team and North Amuntai Police, who received the report, quickly came to the location and negotiated with the perpetrators. RA was embracing the victim while pointing at a firearm.

However, the negotiations that lasted for five hours did not produce an agreement. Even at 02.20 WITA or Monday, February 22 in the morning, the perpetrator opened fire on the negotiator.

"The perpetrator with the initials SA (45) had to be paralyzed because he took a child hostage using a firearm and even shot the officer", Mochamad Rifa'i explained in Banjarmasin as reported by Antara, Monday evening.

The police also paralyzed the suspect by shooting and securing the victim and her family.

"The perpetrator was brought to the Batung Pembalah Hospital, by a team of doctors who stated that the suspect had died", explained Rifa'i.

Evidence of two homemade firearms along with ammunition and two sharp weapons belonging to the perpetrator had been secured by the HSU Police Criminal Unit.
