Prabowo: Why Farmers Are Reduced Because Young People See Their Father Is Unprofitable, His Life Is Difficult

JAKARTA - Presidential candidate (candidate) number 2, Prabowo Subianto promised to provide stimulus to farmers.

The stimulus is in the form of cheap fertilizers, controlling food prices, and building food estates.

Prabowo said that efforts were needed to improve the economy of farmers. Currently, he said, many young people do not want to become farmers because the agricultural sector is considered unfavorable.

"Why are farmers reduced because young people see their fathers not profitable, their lives are difficult," said Prabowo during a presidential candidate dialogue held by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) at Djakarta Theater, Central Jakarta, Friday, January 12, which was confiscated by Antara.

He considered that many farmers' children did not get basic facilities such as education and proper health services.

Prabowo also promised to improve the quality of domestic rice so that it can penetrate the international market. Thus, farmers' income will increase

This can at the same time minimize the possibility of the government importing rice from other countries for consumption in the country.

With these efforts, he hopes that young people will begin to be called to become domestic farmers.
