AMIN National Team Claims Anies Will Not Attack Other Presidential Candidates During The Third Debate Of The Presidential Election

JAKARTA - The National Team (Timnas) for the Victory of Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar (AMIN) claimed that presidential candidates (candidates) number 1, Anies Baswedan did not attack other presidential candidates at all during the Third Debate of the 2024 presidential election last weekend.

"Pribadies are families, then those who are private, religious, for example; that's personal. But if it's a public policy, yes, nothing personal," said AMIN National Team Spokesperson Iwan Tarigan when contacted in Jakarta, Wednesday, January 10, quoted by Antara.

Iwan said this was to respond to President Joko Widodo's statement that the debate sessions of the three presidential and vice-presidential candidates for the 2024 General Election were less educated, because they were dominated by personal attacks between presidential candidates.

Iwan assessed that during the statements and questions raised during the debate related to the program with the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN).

Thus, the authorities in their use must be responsible to the public openly.

"During the use of the state budget, it must be opened because it is people's money collected from taxes," he said.

The General Election Commission (KPU) of the Republic of Indonesia has received registration of three candidates for the presidential and vice presidential candidates, namely Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar ( serial number 1), Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka ( serial number 2), and Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD ( serial number 3).

The election campaign period is set from November 28, 2023 to February 10, 2024, while the voting is scheduled for February 14, 2024.
