Ganjar Opens Opportunities For Collaboration With Anies If The Presidential Election Lasts 2 Rounds

Presidential candidate number 3 Ganjar Pranowo admitted that he opened up opportunities for collaboration with pair number 1 Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar if the 2024 Presidential and Vice Presidential Elections (Pilpres) had to run in two rounds.

This was conveyed by Ganjar at Hetero Space Banyumas, Banyumas Regency, Central Java, answering questions from the media crew regarding the presidential candidate Anies Baswedan who shook hands with the Chairman of the Central Leadership Council (DPP) of the Indonesian Democratic Party (PDI) Puan Maharani after the third debate between presidential candidates at Istora Senayan, Jakarta, Sunday night.

"Yes, all possibilities can happen. I also shake hands with Mas Anies, shake hands with Pak Prabowo too. So Mas Anies, we shake hands, Mr. Prabowo shakes hands, I shake everyone," said Ganjar, quoted by ANTRA Tuesday, January 9.

Meanwhile, former DKI Jakarta Governor Anies kept his chat with Puan Maharani a secret after participating in the third debate organized by the General Elections Commission (KPU).

"Yes, the story will be," said Anies when answering reporters in Gorontalo Province.

Anies explained that he and the vice presidential candidate Muhaimin Iskandar only focused on realizing everything in the debate location.

"After the debate we shake hands with everyone there, yes, if it's not there (around the debate area, ed), I don't shake hands, because we automatically want to find out where. So we agree with everything there, including Mbak Puan," said the former Minister of Education and Culture.

Previously, PDIP DPP Chair Puan Maharani opened the possibility of collaboration between two presidential candidates, namely presidential candidate number 1 Anies Baswedan and 3 Ganjar Pranowo.

He responded to calls from a number of parties who often match Ganjar and Anies in the second round. However, Puan asked the public to monitor the development of political maps during the election period.

"God willing, we will see how it will be in the future. The important thing is that everything can go well and smoothly, everything can run honestly and fairly, because this is a democratic party for the Indonesian people," said Puan.

In addition, Puan also commented on President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) who had dinner with presidential candidate number 2, Prabowo Subianto at a restaurant in Jakarta, a few days ago.

"Yes, it's good (to have dinner together), right? It's not good to eat alone. If you're alone, it's more exciting," said Puan.
