Ahead Of The Presidential Candidate Debate, TKN Prabowo-Gibran Calls Military Threats Need Support For Health Facilities

JAKARTA - The Commander of the Communication Team for the National Campaign Team (TKN), Budisatrio Djiwandono, said that access to health is one of the bulwarks of human defense in Indonesia, both for military and non-military threats. He emphasized this ahead of the third Presidential Candidate Debat which will be held by the KPU at Istora Senayan, tonight.

The military threat clearly requires the support of health facilities. However, access to health is also needed in dealing with non-military threats, such as health crises and natural disasters," Budisatrio told reporters, Sunday, January 7.

The chairman of Commission IV of the DPR RI said that access to health and the role of the TNI as a defense agency was very important, such as during the COVID-19 pandemic.

"The TNI as a defense institution became one of our spearheads in dealing with COVID-19 which was a non-military threat at that time. Now the role of the TNI needs to be assisted by building access and strong health facilities as a national defense stronghold," explained Budisatrio.

According to Budi, Presidential Candidate number 2 Prabowo Subianto as Minister of Defense really understands the issue. One of the programs is the construction of 24 hospitals under the Ministry of Defense.

There are 24 Military Hospitals built by Pak Prabowo as Defense Minister spread throughout Indonesia. One of them will be Sudirman Hospital in Bintaro, which will be the largest Military Hospital in Southeast Asia. This is not only intended for the TNI, but also for the general public," explained Budisatrio.

In addition to building a hospital, he added, to provide qualified resources, Prabowo also established a Faculty of Military Medicine at the Defense University (IDU).

"Hospitals, the Faculty of Military Medicine, have become proof of Pak Prabowo's great concern for defense in the health sector. And now as a presidential candidate, Pak Prabowo also includes many health programs in Prabowo Gibran's vision and mission," he explained.

Budi also mentioned that one of the flagship programs contained in Prabowo Gibran's vision and mission, namely the construction of quality hospitals in every district in Indonesia.

This quality hospital in each district is part of the 8 best results program quickly from Prabowo Gibran. So it will be a priority. Likewise, Free Lunch, has a very large health aspect for the nation's children," he said.

These programs, added Budisatrio, are very much needed because Indonesia is due to the high need for access to health.

"The spirit is that Prabowo Gibran wants to reduce the death rate for reasons that can still be prevented, especially through better access to health. If this works, in addition to increasing national defense and resilience, our Human Development Index will increase," he concluded.
