Parts Of Jakarta Are Predicted To Have Light Rain On Weekends

JAKARTA - Some areas of DKI Jakarta are predicted to have light rain on Sunday, while some are cloudy and several buffer cities are flooded with heavy rain.

Citing information from the official website of the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG), the South Jakarta and East Jakarta areas are forecasted to rain moderately intensity during the day and night with temperatures ranging from 24 to 31 degrees Celsius.

The rest, other areas such as West Jakarta, North Jakarta, Central Jakarta, and the Thousand Islands are predicted to only be cloudy throughout the day. Rain is expected to fall in the early hours of the morning in North Jakarta and Central Jakarta.

Several buffer cities in West Java Province are forecast to rain with high intensity.

Bogor City, Bogor Regency, and Bekasi City are predicted to experience heavy rain during the day whose intensity decreases so that moderate rain in the evening, while Depok predicts rain in the city accompanied by lightning.

Another buffer zone, namely Tangerang City, Banten, tends to follow the weather in DKI Jakarta with moderate rain expected during the day.

The BMKG also issued an early warning of the potential for rain accompanied by lightning in South Jakarta and East Jakarta in the afternoon and evening.

The same warning also applies to parts of Depok City and Bogor Regency and City in the morning before noon until the evening.
