Positive COVID-19 Patient Killed Suicide Jumping From 5th Floor Building

JAKARTA - A positive COVID-19 patient died after allegedly jumping out of the building from the fifth floor of the Muara Teweh Regional General Hospital (RSUD), North Barito Regency, Central Kalimantan, Sunday at around 17:20 WIB.

"The patient has died and tonight is buried according to the health protocol in a special COVID-19 cemetery at kilometer 7 of Jalan Negara Muara Teweh - Puruk Cahu," said Covid-19 Task Force spokesman Barito Utara Siswandoyo in Muara Teweh, quoted from Antara, Sunday February 21st.

The patient named MFS (23), a resident of Jalan Merdeka RT 01, Beriwit Puruk Cahu Village, Murung Raya Regency, was referred and arrived at Muara Teweh Hospital on Sunday morning at around 02.00 WIB.

"The patient was treated on a ventilator." Siswandoyo said.

Currently the incident is under investigation by the North Barito Police.

"This incident is under investigation by the police," said Siswandoyo, who is also the Head of the North Barito Health Service.

The 5th floor of the Aster room is a special treatment room for COVID-19 patients at Muara Teweh Hospital.
