JAKARTA - Secretary of the Prabowo-Gibran National Campaign Team (TKN), Nusron Wahid, asked that the issue of mistreatment of Ganjar-Mahfud volunteers in Boyolali not be linked to politics, especially the issue of TNI neutrality.

This was said by Nusron in response to the case of mistreatment of Ganjar-Mahfud volunteers in Boyolali which was linked to the position of Presidential Candidate Prabowo Subianto as Minister of Defense.

"First, we also strongly condemn the acts of violence committed by anyone, and whatever the reason for them to fellow nation's children. We do not tolerate this behavior," said Nusron in Jakarta, Monday, December 1.

Nusron also appealed to all parties to trust the legal process while conducting self-introspection in campaign procedures.

"Let's put it in the existing legal process. It is better for all parties not to associate with the issue of TNI neutrality against certain Paslons. There is no need to pull the TNI into practical politics," continued Nusron.

"What we heard was that this was purely a reaction from TNI personnel who took excessive action against the response of certain candidate pairs volunteers who made noise and disturbed the comfort of the community in general," he continued.

With this case, Nusron hopes that all parties can restrain themselves, especially during the candidate campaign. For him, comfort and order are the main goals in attracting the hearts of voters.

The Golkar politician took the example of campaign activities in Pati and Boyolali, which he considered excessive and disturbing comfort.

What happened in Pati a few weeks ago, now Boyolali, is a form of certain party campaigns and couplers that are excessive, creating public noise and discomfort. Various traffic regulations are also not obeyed properly, thus disturbing other road users," said Nusron.

Previously, PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyantom accused the TNI of being a particular candidate pair sympathizer in the case of the persecution of seven Ganjar-Mahfud volunteers to the hospital in Boyolali, Saturday, December 30.

"We strongly protest against the actions of these TNI personnel. The TNI personnel acted like that allegedly because there were elements in the TNI who were sympathizers of certain candidate pairs because they were both military background," said Hasto in Jakarta, Sunday, December 31.

"This is evidenced by the absence of a response from the candidate pair concerned who condemned the violence," he continued.
