JAKARTA - The National Winning Team (Timnas) Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar (AMIN) said the 'Desak Anies' discussion program was a new breakthrough in democracy in Indonesia.

"Anies' decision is considered a new breakthrough in democracy in Indonesia," said AMIN National Team Spokesperson Billy David when contacted in Jakarta, Sunday, December 31, as reported by Antara.

According to him, the specific discussion program targeting the younger generation is able to foster young people's concern for political issues. This is evident from the high enthusiasm of the community who are also actively discussing Anies' insistence on social media.

"The last week experienced significant growth, even the trend of conversations on social media beat that of 'Gemoy' conversations. These moments grew organically, both by influencers, artists, activists, and netizens in general," he said.

Although targeting young people, said Billy, the issues discussed at the event were very wide so that they could provide new knowledge to the public.

Therefore, his party is encouraging Anies' Desak program to be realized in many places so that it can target a wider audience.

"A lot more will be pushed in other cities/districts and will start to be tried sectorally. As initiated in Banyuwangi, Urges Anies to target fishermen," said Billy.
