Sunday Morning, DKI Air Quality Worsened

JAKARTA - Air quality in DKI Jakarta worsened again on Sunday morning based on data from the air quality monitoring site, IQAir.

Based on Antara's monitoring at 07.06 WIB, on the last day of 2023 before the New Year 2024, the Air Quality Index (AQI) in Jakarta was at 163 or in the medium category with a PARTiculate matter (PM) 2.5.

The air quality monitoring site with the latest time (real time) records Jakarta as the worst ranked 14th city in the world, worse than yesterday's air quality rating, Saturday (30/12) morning, the worst in 18th world with AQI at 154 at 06.00 WIB.

The city with the worst air quality in the world on Sunday was Delhi (India) with an air quality index at 276, followed by Dhaka (Banglades) at 267, then Kolkata (India) at 242.

Meanwhile, the Environmental Information and Hygiene System of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Environment Agency (DLH) states that the overall air quality in Jakarta is in the medium category with index number 95 and air pollution PM2.5.
