SUKOHARJO - The concern and attention of the presidential candidate number 3 Ganjar Pranowo to children with special needs (ABK) in Indonesia, never subsides.

This time if elected President in 2024, Ganjar will adopt an inclusion-based service program for all crew members throughout Indonesia so that crew members can get space for equality and can be more independent.

This was conveyed by Ganjar when visiting the National Tunas Inclusion Studio in Nguter Village, Nguter District, Sukoharjo Regency, Central Java on Tuesday, December 26.

"This can be appointed in national policies so I imagine if the Sukoharjo model throughout Indonesia occurs, then the way we serve our friends or family in which there are family members with special needs, then they get space, attention and there is hope that in the future this child will be independent," said Ganjar.

Ganjar said Sukoharjo Regency was the only area that had an inclusion studio for crew members in almost all of its sub-districts.

"I think it is possible that in Indonesia it is only in Sukoharjo that in all sub-districts there are inclusion studio facilities, they routinely give treatment to them every week," said Ganjar.

Services provided to crew members include therapy, development classes, parental forums, independence programs, economic empowerment, health checks, additional food delivery, outing class and collaboration with tertiary institutions.

For crew members who need further therapy and assistance, the Sukoharjo Regency Government provides medical personnel to tour all sub-districts in order to maximize services to crew members.

Ganjar also admitted that he would adopt a similar program to be implemented in all regions throughout Indonesia.

"The rush goes around to 12 sub-districts. This Sukoharjo model can be nationalized so that children with special needs can later become more independent," said Ganjar.

Regarding his concern and concern for marginalized circles, Ganjar emphasized this first during the inaugural Presidential Candidate Debate at the Indonesian KPU some time ago.

In the debate, Ganjar explained development efforts by continuing to embrace all groups including disability groups, so that it is in line with the theory put forward by the Ganjar-Mahfud candidate pair, namely 'No One Left Behind' or no one is left behind.

This has been done by Ganjar while serving as Governor of Central Java for two terms. Ganjar carried out the Development Implementation Deliberation (Musrenbang) by inviting all people to submit their complaints and aspirations directly in 35 districts and cities throughout Central Java.

"In yesterday's debate, I told you that in planning the development of disability groups, it must be involved and the theory of no one left behind, nothing can be left behind, this can be practiced," explained Ganjar.
