BOGOR - The Bogor City Government, West Java, continues the odd-even policy for motorized vehicles on weekends and holidays. Even odd is applied tomorrow, Saturday, January 20 starting at 09.00 WIB.

Head of the Traffic Division of the Bogor City Transportation Agency, Dody Wahyudin, said the odd-even implementation would still be supervised. But the odd-even implementation of Bogor shortened the time.

"Last week it started at 08.00 WIB to 20.00 WIB, while on Saturday it started at 09.00 WIB until 18.00 WIB," said Dody as quoted by Antara, Friday, February 19.

According to Dody, the sanctions applied are the same as last week. For vehicles that violate the social and administrative sanctions.

Previously, the Head of Bogor City Police, Kombes Susatyo said that the odd-even implementation time change for motorized vehicles in Bogor City was to adjust to the economic sector which should also receive attention.

"We think about the community as a whole. We are trying hard to reduce positive cases of COVID-19, but on the other hand, the economic sector must also be considered," he said.

According to Susatyo, with the change in the odd-even implementation hours for motorized vehicles, from 09.00 WIB to 18.00 WIB, traders who trade in the morning and evening, can still operate.

Meanwhile, the Mayor of Bogor, Bima Arya Sugiarto, said that the decision to continue the odd-even policy for motorized vehicles was decided at the Regional Leadership Communication Forum (Forkopimda) meeting at the Secretariat of the Task Force for Handling COVID-19 in Bogor City, Tuesday, February 16.

According to Bima Arya, the decision was taken after analyzing some data from the odd-even implementation, data on the implementation of the Enforcement of Micro Community Activity Limitation (PPKM) at the RW level in Bogor City, and data on the economic sector.

"From the data analysis, the implementation of the two policies has proven to be effective in reducing positive cases of COVID-19 in Bogor City," he said.

With these considerations, he said, Bogor City Forkopimda agreed to continue the odd-even policy for motorized vehicles on weekends, but the time was shorter.
