JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government is again holding a Christmas Carol or Christmas Carol event in the capital to celebrate Christmas this year.

Head of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Tourism and Creative Economy Agency, Andhika Permata, said, as in previous years, Christmas Carol performed a typical Christmas musical performance.

Jakarta residents can enjoy the solemn music of Christmas while enjoying the beautiful view of tourist destinations in Jakarta.

"It has become a routine agenda for Jakarta, to celebrate Christmas celebrations by presenting Christmas Carol. Through this event, we want to give a message that Jakarta is a global city that is diverse, open to all people," Andhika said in his statement, Friday, December 22.

Christmas carol is known to have been held since 2019 by former DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan. Then, while serving as Acting Governor of DKI, Heru Budi has held another Christmas Carol since 2022.

More specifically, the Christmas Carol was held on December 22 at the Old City Area Cultural Bridge and the Southwest Cross of the National Monument, starting at 16.00 p.m. -18.00 p.m. local time.

On the same day, the Christmas Carol was also held at Pedestrian Plaza Indonesia, Pedestrian Djakarta Theater and Jakarta Creative Zone Riverview by JXB, starting at 16.00-18.00 WIB.

"To support the success of Jakarta for Indonesia and Jakarta, the global city, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government ensures that this pluralistic and heterogeneous Jakarta resident gets the same portion in terms of celebrating religious holidays," he explained.
