Presidential candidate number 3 Ganjar Pranowo reminded the public to be careful in conveying jokes regarding the serial numbers of the 2024 Presidential and Vice Presidential Elections (Pilpres).

Ganjar said that currently the serial number statement from a minister is a problem in the community.

"Yesterday there was a minister who said that blunder, now it's a problem. Be careful, sensitive, you know, sensitive," said Ganjar in the Menteng area, Jakarta, Thursday, December 22.

Therefore, he admitted that he was nervous when he was roasted about serial numbers in the 2024 presidential election by a comedian or a single comedian.

"Earlier I was nervous, I was nervous. Someone said that about the numbers (numbers). Some said the numbers are now like this, this is how it is," said Ganjar.

Previously, the Minister of Trade Zulkifli Hasan or Zulhas conveyed a joke about changes in society during prayers, namely by not saying 'amen' after reading the letter Al-Fatihah and pointing two fingers at the end of the prayer.

This statement was made by Zulhas when giving a speech at the National Working Meeting (Rakernas) of the Association of Indonesian Market Traders (APPSI) in Semarang, Central Java, Tuesday (19/12).

Meanwhile, Deputy Chairperson of the National Mandate Party (PAN) Yandri Susanto said that PAN Chairman Zulkifli Hasan was unlikely to commit blasphemy.

"With existing track records, it is impossible for Zulkifli Hasan to commit blasphemy against religion," Yandri said in his statement.

This was said by Yandri in response to a video clip of Zulhas' remarks joking about praying. According to Yandri, Zulhas' statement was solely to remind people not to be fanatical.

"Bang Zul (Zulhas, ed.) conveyed this solely because he wanted to remind us all that not because of excessive fanaticism and then changing one's prayer procedures," he said.

The General Election Commission (KPU) of the Republic of Indonesia has determined three pairs of presidential and vice presidential candidates, namely Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar number 1, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka number 2, and Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud number 3.

The election campaign period is set from November 28, 2023 to February 10, 2024, while the voting is scheduled for February 14, 2024.
